Bringing Opportunity To The Community
"Living Is Giving"
For more than 34 years, Sojourner-Douglass College has traveled out
of the mainstream to reach out to adult learners whose employment, family and community
responsibilities do not allow them to pursue higher education in the traditional manner at
conventional institutions of higher education.
Sojourner-Douglass College was established in 1972 as an independent,
non-profit institution to provide for the educational needs of adult learners who might otherwise
never have the opportunity for access and success in higher education.
The College has transformed the lives of families by graduating over
5,000 students with Bachelor's and Master's degrees, and has provided value added benefit to over
2,000 community residents through a full range of professional development and continuing education
programs.
Sojourner-Douglass College builds success by helping people and
organizations increase their productivity through our applied educational programs, our research
capacity, our organizational development capability and our leadership development expertise.
Our vision continues to be to empower the community to assume leadership
in community, institutional, and economic development.
We are proud of our progress and our successes and, as such, will continue
to honor our commitment to address community needs. But we need your help to do so.
Your tax-deductible contribution will provide scholarships and financial
assistance to needy students who otherwise would never have the opportunity for access and success
in higher education. Your tax-deductible gift will support scholarships for students who strive
to support their household and keep up with their employment responsibilities, but whose ability
to fund their education is extremely limited. You may also target your gift to support other areas
such as faculty development, program development, or technology support.
Please take a moment now to write your tax deductible check to
Sojourner-Douglass College and mail it to the Office of Institutional Advancement, 500 N. Caroline
Street, Baltimore, MD 21205. Or you can also donate via our
secure online form.
