I sincerely enjoyed my time at Sojourner Douglass College (SDC). The SDC experience gave me a sense of belonging to a unique family community that spreads beyond the SDC campus. The curriculum prepared me for success and motivated me to work full-time while simultaneously going to school full-time. The Professors encouraged us as students to set goals. Each Instructor employed the notion of self-determination to achieve those goals. I did just that! The best part of my experience at SDC was that it stirred my soul and gave me the confidence to be a better person for my family, my community, and my people. The experience at SDC empowered me to continue on to earn my MBA degree and author a business book. I love every faculty member; of course, I had a favorite. Dr. Hollie, you are an amazing, intelligent, and caring black woman and I feel that I am better because of your direction. May God Bless You All.

Biographical Statement:

Shirley Knox Murry studied organizational studies at Saint Louis University. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Administration and Management from Sojourner Douglas College. She earned her MBA at Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business. Shirley Knox-Murry has over 20 years of combined call center, sales, retention, training, and customer service experience. She is the owner of The Legacy Consultants, a new consulting corporation that provides consultation on effective teams, sales, retention, and customer service. In addition, she is a Regional Sales and Retention Call Center Supervisor for Comcast Cable Communications, Inc.
