Undergraduate Registration Process

Returning Students

Here are the steps to register for returning students:

  1. OTAIN A “PERMIT TO REGISTER” FORM FROM THE BURSAR’S OFFICE, ROOM 228.
  2. IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FINANCIAL AID, AND YOUR FINANCIAL AID PACKAGE HAS BEEN PROCESSED, BE SURE TO STOP BY THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE, ROOM 229 TO OBTAIN YOUR “FINANCIAL AID AWARD LETTER” BEFORE YOU GO TO THE ADVISOR’S OFFICE.
  3. TAKE THE REGISTRATION PERMIT TO THE BURSAR’S OFFICE FOR SIGNATURE, ROOM 228.
    • Make payments at the Bursar’s Office (Cash, personal check, money order, VISA, American Express, MasterCard or Discover Card).
    • Present “Financial Aid Award Letter” to validate your registration.
    • Obtain information on payment plans or third party sponsorship programs from the Bursar’s Office. Your registration is guaranteed only when all tuition and fees are paid!
  4. BEFORE YOU REGISTER, YOU WILL NEED TO MEET WITH AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR TO PLAN YOUR COURSE SCHEDULE.
    • List all classes on the "Permit to Register" form.
    • Obtain an academic advisor's signature. If a class is closed, you will be required to obtain the instructor and advisor's signature to be registered in the class.
    • First Year Experience for Emerging Scholars (0-33 accumulative credits), register in Room 321
    • Sophomore level students (34-62 accumulative credits), register in the Dean's Office, Room 311.
    • For Junior and Senior students (63-132 accumulative credits) register in the Department Chairs' Office, Room 301.
  5. TAKE THE SIGNED "PERMIT TO REGISTER" FORM TO THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE, ROOM 315. You must be officially registered for all classes you attend. A Registrar's representative will enter your courses. A registration schedule will be generated and given to you. REVIEW THE SCHEDULE CAREFULLY to ensure you're registered for the desire course and section. Please return to the Bursar's Office, Room 228 to obtain a semester term bill before leaving Academic Hall.

You are not registered until you have completed all of the above steps.
